You were probably never slotted for any facility. It's possible your HR rep thought you might go there so they tried to throw you a bone with their best guess of where you may end up. This is why they've tried to get away from telling people, there are so many factors that can change where a person is going it's better to just not say anything until it's actuall go time.
Out of curiosity, where did you think you were going?
