that is very concerning, i dont what the procedures are for long range flight plans, does the pilot have to radio in with their position and relevant info at certain time intervals? or once they file their flight plan they dont have to do anything? my knowledge isnt complete by any means but i would assume that the filed flight plan includes the flight level and speed they are supposed to travel? or does that vary based on weather conditions and things of that sort?
