back to back tracon/terminal training oct 30 (KMCO)

I guess I like the idea of this, but I have always heard of people going to an up/down going terminal first then working at the tower for a bit, before returning for the tracon.. I start tracon training the 30th then supposedly follow that directly with terminal.. meaning 14-15 weeks in okc..

cost savings? keeping me at 19k +per diem as opposed to 38k + per diem

im also going to KMCO and have the same OKC. I wasn't told about staying on okc for so long. How did you find that out? Also i was told that in Jan. 2009 KMCO was no longer going to be an up/down.....

this is what they told me when i got my amended firm offer letter showing tracon instead of tower training in okc..she said i would be going into terminal right after...While i knew there were rumblings of splitting the facility i just found out there was a firm date set..

two things could have happened here as i see it

1.The HR rep wasnt aware of the split being imminent and just gave me some sort of answer
2.We are in before the split

im leaning towards the first and i made my first call today and left a message. i will make the call again tmro morning..

If im only going to be in okc 6 weeks i need to get more serious on the apartment search in orlando...also i need to know of the level facility ill be working in, im sure it will be higher in the tracon than the tower so thats good but i was definitely looking forward to looking out windows half the time..

I'm just curious, was Orlando your 1st choice? That is where I want to go too and I'm just wondering how hard it was to get it.

It's because Obama got elected it's his redistribution of the atsat wealth he takes your 10 points and gives .4 to 25 other people that didn't earn it. ok I'm being a smart a$$.. Really how did it turn out?
