Trading Class Dates

Im a VRA and have an academy class date of 11 May going to IAH. That would put me graduating within a few weeks of my pregnant wife's due date. Has anyone heard of trading class dates with someone? Also, is anyone interested in trading? I want to go to the academy ASAP.

Hey I start Tower cab 11 May as well and my wife is due Aug. 3 so we are in nearly the exact same boat. Good luck trying to get a date switch if its even possible. I know people here anxiously wait for those class dates.

Class dates depend on where you are going. Your location is only allowed so many new hires per quarter. I am going to Boston Tower on April 7th. I was told that there were early class dates, but I could not go due to the staffing levels at my facility.
My point: If you switch, you may need to find a person that is going to a facility with a similar staffing policy.

I've heard that some going to VGT have classdates in 2010. The place only has 15 controllers when fully-staffed, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are considered to be less under duress than other towers/centers.
