Wondering if anyone out there is heading to the OKC for the January 20th RTF class date. That and also does anyone know anything about the dress code changing to what it states in the contract at the Academy, or is it still the "business casual"?

No T-shirts allowed still, but you can wear jeans now as long as they aren't torn, faded, or frayed. You aren't a NATCA member so whatever flys at a facility won't necessiarly work at the Academy.

Acceptable attire: Dress Slacks or Casual Slacks. Jeans are permitted as long as they are not frayed, patched, or have holes of any kind.

Unacceptable: T-shirts, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, muscle shirts.

That was the list I was handed today. Def. a not to t-shirts, shorts aren't specifically listed as unacceptable but since ONLY pants are on the approved list I'd assume that's a no go as well

Trust me, regardless of what the list says, Dave has been in our class MULTIPLE times and told us we could wear shorts (since it doesn't say we CAN'T) and that if we wore a T-Shirt that didn't have any slang on it (such as a hand giving the bird) that they would not care one bit.

50% of my basics class has been wearing shorts and T-Shirts.. so to each his own..

I am at the academy. I'm going to ask my instructor if I can wear shorts though. If it stays 75 here there isn't any reason to be wearing pants!

Who's Dave? Don't remember if he has come into our class at all.
