Short answer is NO

"3. If you elect to stay with friends or family, you will not be included in the credit card payment process. You will receive $30.60/day for meals and incidentals only. You may submit a travel reimbursement voucher 15 days after arriving at the Academy and monthly thereafter."

I believe in this situation that you would/should receive reimbursement. If you have a lease with a rent figure in it, it should/would be considered for reimbursement. It wouldn't be any different than renting a room from someone off Craigslist, other than the fact that you aren't really paying anything. Is it defrauding the government? Yes. Can you get away with it? Yes. Would I do it? Yes. I need some friends in OKC!

Exactly! Your lease agreement wouldn't say, I irishcarbomb agree to pay my friends/family $600/month for use of bedroom and living facilities. It would say I irishcarbomb agree to pay John Doe $600/month for use of bedroom and living facilities. It's that simple.

So all I have to do is draft a lease agreement and then take that in. It's that simple?

"there are even some people that will get a 6 mo lease(~500$) at isola, no food, internet, courtesy car, but if your willing go for it.. there are some people renting rooms for 475/mo.. which is a great deal, includes internet tv etc.. no rides tho, so bring ur car. "

Isola Bella does not have any apartments for rent on a 6 mo lease for $475/mo including internet. Our lowest apartment rent is a one bedroom for $468/mo with a 13 month lease and the tenant pays all bills, provides furniture, etc.

"I hear it's hard for people to get a normal apt at a normal rent cost, especially at Isola Bella because if the mgmt of Isola finds out that you are FAA, they will automatically increase your rent from the normal tenant's $400-500/month rent to the "special" rent of $1500/month."

I have fallen a little behind on my StuckMic, but need to address this apparent misconception. Not really sure where this idea would come from, but a normal apartment is for a 12 month lease (certain plans require a 13 mo lease), requires a deposit, credit check, and does not include furniture, pots, pans, utentsils, linens, housekeeping, cable, internet, electricity, water, meals, courtesy cars, etc.

Anybody wants a normal appartment (these are not in the extended stay area of the property), we are more than happy to accomadate them

Cheers,

The RedBaron
