Posted: 01-16-2010, 11:41 AM Airway Transportation Specialist, Airway Facilities (AF), Tech Ops...and I'm sure they have some other names as well....they work on the air traffic control equipment that we use. Pretty much anything in the tower or radar room, frequencies, ILS systems, Approach Lights...things like that. They are FAA employees and you will usually have a couple assigned to your facility....the larger the facility, the more that will be assigned there.
