Medical DQ - heart problem?
Posted: 02-14-2010, 02:31 PM

I was born with a heart murmor caused by aortic valve stenosis and pulmenary branch stenosis with very mild enlargement of the heart. I have no restrictions or limitations and take no medication, though my blood pressure goes up in doctors offices so it's usually registered high (normlly 120/80, often climbing up to 160/95 in the office when it's taken) though my cardiologist does not see me as requiring medication for it. Before I change careers and pursue ATC, do you forsee this being an issue to pass the required medical?

This might become an issue, if your blood pressure when taken for a medical test is above 155/95.
