passed out and subsequent ER visit
Posted: 03-01-2010, 05:48 PM I fainted in our kitchen yesterday morning after getting up too quickly from bed and subsequently went to the ER, nothing was found abnormal, I'm completely healthy otherwise, the only thing they found was a slow heart rate (which ive been told is normal for someone who has passed out like I did), I wore a heart monitor for the last day and am still awaiting results from that, but have felt no other effects from it at all. I did have one previous time approximately 8 years ago when I became overheated at school on the pool deck, again, no lasting effects after that either. The doctor mentioned it may have been a vasovagal response that I've had in both instances. Right now, I'm feeling 100%, simply hoping that this doesnt keep me from getting an ATC job now.
Thanks, Sam |

Re: passed out and subsequent ER visit
Posted: 03-04-2010, 09:36 AM It seems as though it was a vasovagal response brought on by getting out of bed too quickly, I also get them with needles and excessive amounts of blood and gore, so they're not really unexplained...
