vision test
Posted: 03-08-2010, 07:28 PM

Hi Doc,
My son is trying to get into a ATC program, when he took his AME physical he found out he had a color blindness deficiency by taking the Ishihara chart test, is this going to disqualify him from pursuing his career? Or is there another test he can take that the FAA will approve so he can continue his dream. And how do we go about getting this, he wants to start in the fall.
Thanks for you time

You can take a Dovrine color test. It is a little easier and the FAA will accept this.
