Previous Physician visits
Posted: 01-27-2012, 11:24 PM Hello,
On my last two medical's, I have made mistakes regarding dermatology consults. Nearly 5 years ago, I did not disclose that I had been to a dermatologist for a consult regarding possible acne. I thought that it was too minor to list (although I did list prior physicals) considering it was just a minor case of acne. Ultimately, I got my medical but was prescribed accutane shortly after my aeromedical exam for a period of 6 months. I voluntarily grounded myself up to my next medical, 3 years later. I had done lasik surgery in the months leading to my next medical, which I disclosed. The problem again is that I forgot to disclose that I had been to a dermatologist for treatment 2 years before. It's 2012, and I haven't flown in about 6.5 years. I didn't so much as get into an airplane after receiving my last two medical certificates. I'd like to get my medical renewed, but I'm not sure how I should handle my not disclosing my seeing a dermatologist on both applications, particularly in light of my taking accutane, although I did not fly during nor after the treatment and was off the meds for 2 years before my next medical. I'd appreciate any advice you have to offer. Thx |

Re: Previous Physician visits
Posted: 01-30-2012, 08:15 AM I would report the visits on the last medical with an explanation that you forgot to include it on the last medical. This indcident should not poise a problem.
