FAA Pilot Color Vision waiver accepted for ATC medical
Posted: 07-09-2009, 11:24 PM Hello,
I am currently a pilot who holds an unrestricted 1st class medical. I am red/green color defiecent, and my original medical certificate restricted me to Day VFR flight only. So I scheduled a color light signal test with the FAA office in Atlanta and passed 100%, so they made me a new medical with no restrictions which I have updated and carried for over 6 years with no problems. They also gave me a signed waiver stating that I have satisfactory completed a color vision test and never have to be tested on that again. Will this waiver be accepted if I go into ATC and get a medical for that? Thank you for your help, Aupilot |

Posted: 07-11-2009, 04:23 PM Should work for ATC as well, but they might want to recheck you.
