Vision Test Machine

Sometimes my eyes do not react well to the machines used in some medical exams. I always do fine using the old fashioned chart and book methods. Is there an option to not use the machine and to opt for the chart and book?

If they are still doing it the same as last year. The color blindness test is from a book.

If you fail the vision test on the machine (which I did) then they will test you from a wall chart. Should you fail the wall chart (which I did) then they will ask you to visit your optometrist to retest and ask you to have your optometrist complete a form 8500-7 which they will send you from the PEPC with and then to fax back when it's filled out.

Yes, you can ask for the book. Some machines do not work well for some people and I usually screen people who fail the machine with the color vision book and charts.
