Vision levels

Apparently my vision at the PEPC wasn't good enough so they sent me a form to have filled out here by an eye doc. I went and did that a couple of hours ago. She actually said that if the FAA hadn't contacted me, she wouldn't have written me a Rx. But that's besides the point. I'm looking at the sheet says my vision is and for distance it says OD: 20/20-0 and near is OD:20/20+3. Now granted I know nothing about any of this, but I would thought it woud go the other way around. So I guess my question is, what does the -0 and +3 mean?

How many letter you missed reading that line. Should be -0 and -3 though.
