Dysplastic Nevi
Posted: 08-31-2009, 05:19 PM

Dr. Orsak,
I have had 2 dysplastic nevi cut off, biopsied and surgically excised in the past year (pathology reports came back showing clear margins around the excision), and was just wondering if this will pose any problem of attaining the ATC medical clearance. I have also had 3 normal but weird looking benign moles cut off. (Melanocytic nevus, superficial congenital melanocytic nevus, and a seborhheic keratosis). I have had quite a few dermatologist visits recently, but it is just because I have a lot of moles and want to stay on top of any ones that change or look odd, as I know they can lead to melanoma which is a disqualifying condition. Thanks for your help.
