Lasik question
Posted: 10-05-2009, 12:34 PM

If I was to decide to get Lasik while a controller, how long is the recovery time, and how long would I be away from work? I guess I would have to get another medical evaluation? Thanks

Yes, you would have to get cleared by the ophthalmologist and pass a eye exam. Most people recover in a few weeks.

Would that be the opthamologist that did the surgery or an FAA opthamologist? So if I did it before the academy I should be okay?

Usually it is the ophthalmologist that did the surgery, but most any ophthamologist will do.
