PTSD
Posted: 11-01-2009, 07:35 PM I am a healthy 29 y/o Male about to leave the military and have been to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times as a grunt, I have since completed a Lateral Move and now work as a controller, I have my CTO and want to work at a contract tower. My question is I have been told I should go to the VA after seperation and be evaluated for PTSD. If I have a postive assesment will this prevent me from receiving my medical clearance? Or is it simply the treatment that disqualifies?

Re: PTSD
Posted: 11-02-2009, 04:42 PM The medications used to treat PTSD are dysqualifing. The disease itself also dysqualifys one.
