PTSD

I am a healthy 29 y/o Male about to leave the military and have been to Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times as a grunt, I have since completed a Lateral Move and now work as a controller, I have my CTO and want to work at a contract tower. My question is I have been told I should go to the VA after seperation and be evaluated for PTSD. If I have a postive assesment will this prevent me from receiving my medical clearance? Or is it simply the treatment that disqualifies?

The medications used to treat PTSD are dysqualifing. The disease itself also dysqualifys one.
