List of Meds that aren't FAA approved.
Posted: 11-13-2009, 12:45 PM

I recently had to go through the appeals process for my medical clearance because I told them that I used to take cyclobenzaprine. This got me thinking, what else can't I take? I'm really fine with just the occassional Tylenol, but my Dr suggested methocarbamol when I told him I couldn't take the cyclobenzaprine. If I hadn't checked with Aerospace Medicine first I would've gone right back into taking medication that they didn't approve of. I've looked online, I've called, and I've emailed but I can't seem to find a comprehensive list of medications I'm not allowed to take as a controller. Do you have one, or know where I can obtain one?

I would suggest calling an AME there are a ton of them around and they all should have a list floating around.
