Type One Diabetes?
Posted: 11-29-2009, 07:00 PM

Hey,

I currently am on the insulin pump. In what case would they reject a medical with Diabetes? I currently hold a usual blood sugar of around 90-100 and am looking for my medical. I understand you have to check your blood sugar once every hour? Does this still remain if I have a constant glucose monitoring system.

Okay enough questions for now . Thanks!,

If you have a pump with a constant glucose monitor, you meet the definition for checking once an hour. You will be rejected, but may get a waiver, it all depends on how well you are doing, your sugar levels, side effects.
