Medical
Posted: 12-08-2009, 02:02 AM Nov of 08 I was diagnosed with migraines and was giving 4 different types of medicines. Two of them the FAA wouldn't allow me to take with a medical b/c they were for sleep. I told my doc that and he said that I needed to take it to see if they worked before he could do anything else. The next time I saw him I told him that I took them once and had a reaction to them so I couldn't them again. I never took them, I just wanted to go on to the next step so I could get better. Well I haven't had headaches for over a year and now preparing for my first physical since joining the FAA. I got a copy of my medical records so I could put the dates and names of the doctors I talk to when BAM!!! I came across the date I told the doc that I had a reaction to the drugs and he wrote it down verbatim! Is this something that I can explain to the flight surgeon if they review my files? It probably doesn't help that I didn't report any of the medications because I have never seen the flight surgeon since reporting to my first facility.

Re: Medical
Posted: 12-08-2009, 03:01 PM Report them the next time you see the flight surgeon. You can explain everything then. Just be truthfull about everything and you should be ok.
