Question on Evaluation
Posted: 12-29-2009, 11:49 AM Hey Doc, when I went in for my CTI physical, everything was good, but LAFB (left anterior fasicular block) kept showing up on my ECG. I got my second class medical (because ECG wasn't required for someone my age) and he told me to get evaluated by a cardiologist. I got evaluated by one a few days later close to my school who did an EKG and he didn't see the LAFB but said I may have high blood pressure and to schedule more tests. I couldn't follow up with him because our schedules conflicted because of class schedules, however I saw a new cardiologist closer to home over Christmas break who did another EKG (LAFB showed up again), an echocardiogram (ultrasound) and a stress test. After the tests, he said my test results and my blood pressure were great and all I had was a little white coat hypertension and that I was great from a cardiovascular point of view. He gave me a letter saying that the LAFB was a benign finding and my blood pressure was good. Will this letter be enough to clear me or will I need to submit something more?

Re: Question on Evaluation
Posted: 12-29-2009, 01:25 PM The letter should be fine. Although it would be a good idea to submit all the test results to FAA for them to review.
