Past Use of anxiety/antidepressant
Posted: 01-21-2010, 01:29 PM

Hi Doc,

When I was 16, five years, ago, I was diagnosed with minor anxiety and depression and was put on a low dose of medication for only 3 months. After then I was completely fine, my doctor says I no longer showed any signs.

My question is, will I still be able to land a job in ATC with this past medical record? Am I going to have to get a waiver or be further evaluated? I'm about to attend a CTI school and would like to know if I still have a good chance or not before I make my decision.

Thanks, Ryan

You probably will need a status letter from your treating physician reguarding the anxiety and depression. This should not pose much of a problem though.
