medication question
Posted: 02-06-2010, 02:18 PM

I know Darvocet is a restricted drug and has a 24 or 48 hour restriction. My questions are

1) Is this medication screened for on random drug tests?

2) If the medication is screened for in random tests, how long after taking this medication will it show in a test?

The reason I ask is because I have had two shoulder surgeries with the last one being three years ago. I have been fairly pain free with no need for pain killers other than over counter stuff. The other day while working in yard I "tweaked" my shoulder and decided to take a darvocet that I had from the previous surgeries. Do I need to worry about a possible drug screen being positive?

Yep if found on a drug screen. It will last in your system up to a week. Be honest and report the meds your taking occasionally upfront. Make sure you have a current script. That way should get into trouble that way.
