Re: World's Youngest Controller
Posted: 02-17-2010, 03:31 PM You have to have an account to listen to that link. I'm pretty sure this is the same one though. http://liveatc-archive.s3.amazonaws.com/new-kjfk-controller.mp3 Couldn't you get in some pretty serious trouble for that?

Re: World's Youngest Controller
Posted: 02-17-2010, 04:59 PM I don't think that controller is too worried about getting in trouble, obviously he knows everything is recorded. I few kids from my CTI school toured C90 and one of the controllers let us vector a few guys, he told us what to say of course. Not exactly the same thing as this but close.

no... you look at airports, aircraft departure times (callsigns), and controller(s)on duty.
Personally, I don't see the issue. I'm sure pilots don't either, and that's why none said anything negative, in fact just the opposite with smiles. Now if he was telling a plane to go around.... hmmmm... |

Re: World's Youngest Controller
Posted: 02-17-2010, 11:25 PM I'm sure that the controller had to make sure it was alright with his supervisor and whoever else. Plus, the kid did nothing wrong, as far as I could tell. They only thing he did was give those pilots a good laugh.
