Tour questions
Posted: 03-05-2010, 01:40 PM

I am going for a tour of C90 on the 15th. I already have a few questions that I would like to know myself, but what are some good questions to ask when on a tour? What are questions to avoid? Is there anything you guys would like me to ask?

You may want to call someone to confirm that you can still get that tour. Due to what happened at JFK I heard that people can't get into facilities unless they are FAA employees.

I would check with the facility and make sure, bc the FAA released a statement this week that said non FAA employees and other guests were prohibited from going into a facility until further notice bc of the investigation with the kid at JFK

I think the term used was "on official business". I don't know if that means a scheduled tour isn't allowed. It probably does, but ask anyway.

I was just told today that I could come. I plan on confirming it a few days before just to be sure.

I stand corrected. I could have sworn when we got the "preliminary" GENOT, that it only mentioned control towers. Either the final version came out and was different, or I completely overlooked that part.

what does the term "unofficial" mean to them? Is a schedule tour and unofficial visit?
