Re: Craziest Moment
Posted: 03-23-2010, 04:44 PM When the first plane I talked to after getting checked out had its nose-gear collapse, slide down the runway and stop in the intersection closing the field for a few hours.

Re: Craziest Moment
Posted: 03-23-2010, 08:56 PM I once talked to 2 airplanes at the same time... it was ridiculous. I still have nightmares to this day.

Re: Craziest Moment
Posted: 03-24-2010, 10:22 AM Working at FLL at the time and the airport decided it was a good idea to hold an airshow on the south side of the airport over 9R and keep the airport open with only the north runway, 9L, available to non-airshow traffic. Airshow traffic departed on R13 and depending on the type landed on 9R or 13. Most taxiways on the airport were closed for the show. Which made it a most interesting day to get the commerical jets in and out and mixed up for the various intrail restrictions. You had to be very creative to get it done and if you weren't the traffic backed way up. After that first one the airport moved the show to over the beach.

Re: Craziest Moment
Posted: 03-24-2010, 10:37 AM I made the mistake of issuing Japan Air a turn and a frequency change at the same time. It took three more transmissions to sort everything out
