Thats a year old. Pilot says the GPS was off, almost landed in the SF bay, had to divert to OAK.

Low altitude alerts are issued for many reasons. If he is on a normal descent he won't get one. Also, if its a GPS problem as he claimed, he would not get one.

They are also issued if you go below the MDA and if he is about to hit the water you would think he would be below that right?
