The president will freeze pay for two years for non-military federal employees.

NATCA members are represented by the contract so that would stand for pay purposes. Locality and COLA being frozen would affect everyone.

Just another reason to get representation.... DOD people for example would be frozen.

no word yet from any of the NATCA lawyers or hierarchy. everybody is waiting to see the exact and official way this will be applied.... and whether or not it could nullify the red book "make whole" pay bands for younger controllers.... i am cynical though and fearing the worst

I'm certainly fearing the worst as well. I'm just a dev now, and I'm hoping this won't effect D1, D3, or CPC raises I'll get in the somewhat near future. I hope that it won't, but the Gov. has already shown their willingness to hose controllers in the past.

I bet we will get more details later.... like if this is a freeze of just locality and cola or pay steps or both.

I am so tired of hearing the crap about private sector raises being so low....maybe for unskilled labor but I know many private sector people who were not laid off and still getting raises. My friend working for CitiBank that has only a GED just got a 4% increase in a lead position making 50K. He is also working tons of overtime. If everyone got rich in the public sector then there would be thousands of overqualified applicants lined up to go work there. This is company we even just bailed out.

Crazy
