ATC Airline Callsign/Codes
Posted: 03-14-2012, 07:23 AM

This information is hard to find on the internet and when listening to some liveatc feeds and following on flightaware there are still some that I'm unsure of.

AWE- America West: "cactus"
TRS- Air Tran: "citrus"
AAL- American
UAL- United
DAL- Delta

these are all obvious but what about the odd ones like brickyard, critter, etc. and what about small regional airlines like Mesa, Expressjet, Gojet, etc?

If anyone could compile a good list that would be great

Critter was Value Jet. They purchased a small company named Air Tran after the Everglades crash and switched to their callsign.

"Cactus" is US Airways. They merged with America West a few years ago.

And if I remember correctly, Republic was based in Indy? Which is close to VHP (Brickyard.)
