Morale is pretty bad at Alcatraz Center. I think that the count of resignations in the past year is up to 25 or 30 with several more leaning in that direction. The white book put facilities in expensive metropolis places in a bad spot because no one can afford to live there. Morale is bad not only a pay side but also on a release side, if you cant move around and better your career you wont be happy either.

Someone recently posted that people are getting checked out in a year and 1/2 on average there. How can they do that with so few CPCs? Zab has even less CPCs right now, seems like we need to get with the ZOA program

Morale sucks at ZAB too, tons of people resigning. Latest trend is 5-10 year CPCs are leaving.

But our local Rev said, "Things Sho' Nuff gettin' Betta'" God Bless 'em!

Time off with family? Currently the only people paying the price for the short staffing are the employees. I am not in charge of hiring but I am certainly paying the price for the lack of hiring the "Right people at the right place and right time"

There is a lot more to life than money. I want to be happy I COULD be happy working traffic if I was just left alone to do it, not bugged about not having a certain shirt or pants on by management, 4 to 6 hour OT assignments on my freaking day off or to be sent home after 2 hours just because.

Senority means little when you are second on a crew of THREE. Only two leave slots per day when everyone else wants vacation because we are short staffed is coming next year, that will make me happy. Nice thing is Supes get TWO leave slots right now and will continue to do so (Out of 5 working per day).

Morale at my facility is pretty bad. Everyone working six day work weeks every week with no hope in sight has drained each and everyone of us. I think if management would give us hope that things like staffing would improve we would be okay, but that is not the case. Everyone is just desperate to get out. They just don't realize that the grass is just as brown on the other side.

I knew it was too good to be true and was waiting for someone to spoil it lol. There are no FAA centers that's better than anywhere else. Maybe Memphis? I have a friend there that wants me to apply. He said its nice but I know better than that..
