Morale is pretty bad at Alcatraz Center. I think that the count of resignations in the past year is up to 25 or 30 with several more leaning in that direction. The white book put facilities in expensive metropolis places in a bad spot because no one can afford to live there. Morale is bad not only a pay side but also on a release side, if you cant move around and better your career you wont be happy either.

Most if not all up/downs will be going away and there wont be much money at the ones left... like working at ACT.

I want to be happy I COULD be happy working traffic if I was just left alone to do it, not bugged about not having a certain shirt or pants on by management, 4 to 6 hour OT assignments on my freaking day off or to be sent home after 2 hours just because. Senority means little when you are second on a crew of THREE. Only two leave slots per day when everyone else wants vacation because we are short staffed is coming next year, that will make me happy. Nice thing is Supes get TWO leave slots right now and will continue to do so (Out of 5 working per day). Lead by example my rear. |

Morale at my facility is pretty bad. Everyone working six day work weeks every week with no hope in sight has drained each and everyone of us. I think if management would give us hope that things like staffing would improve we would be okay, but that is not the case. Everyone is just desperate to get out. They just don't realize that the grass is just as brown on the other side.
