If the morale is really bad in the centers because there are way more personnel. It should be a little better in the Tower you may think.

yeah in the tower , well at ours at least it's easier for co-workers to get together and do things that boost morale.

Morale really depends on the management within the facility. The fact is you will find sups and ATMs who are now drunk with power and abuse it on a daily basis. The controller who resigned came from a facility that has a morale problem. This is the facility where management forced the controllers to work as they were being poisoned by toxic fumes. They waited 8 days to test the air and refused to let the center take over the airspace or move the controllers to the center to work the approach. 8 controllers suffered serious health problems as a result on this exposure--a botched roofing job where a roofing material/substance dripped down on the controllers and equipment and fumes filled the base building for days. After all of this they harassed the controllers who where out sick and seeing specialists and the FAA gave the ATM, the Ops manager and the AF manager an award for their handling of the event.

Morale here is pretty good. But of course you have the few that hate the FAA
