Transfering from center to terminal while training?
Posted: 01-23-2009, 04:39 PM Does anybody know if it is possible or had any success transfering from a center to a lower level terminal (8 and down) while still a developmental? If you can do you have to go back to OKC? I accepted the postion before you could choose or turn down a postion, so I took the first thing that came along. I am not stuggling to pass, I just don't like sitting in a dark room all day.

Posted: 01-24-2009, 03:23 AM yes you will have to go through okc once again, and it is possible.You have to let the managers know you are not happy and begin the paperwork...

Posted: 01-24-2009, 10:02 AM my best bud pulled himself out of training at ZOA when all he had was 2 R-sides to go. the reason...he knew he would get transferred to a lower level tower near his home. the outcome...he is now a controller at Tamiami (TMB) tower. btw, he was VRA but had no tower experience and no CTO. he went straight to TMB. did not go to the academy.
