Does anybody know if it is possible or had any success transfering from a center to a lower level terminal (8 and down) while still a developmental? If you can do you have to go back to OKC? I accepted the postion before you could choose or turn down a postion, so I took the first thing that came along. I am not stuggling to pass, I just don't like sitting in a dark room all day.

yes you will have to go through okc once again, and it is possible.You have to let the managers know you are not happy and begin the paperwork...

or you can wash out of training at the center and hope they let you transfer to a level 6 tower

my best bud pulled himself out of training at ZOA when all he had was 2 R-sides to go. the reason...he knew he would get transferred to a lower level tower near his home. the outcome...he is now a controller at Tamiami (TMB) tower. btw, he was VRA but had no tower experience and no CTO. he went straight to TMB. did not go to the academy.
