Joined the Air Force as a controller in 91. Separated in 98 and picked up 3 months later by the FAA. Still going strong at ZNY.

Hmm do you know what area he's in? Matt doesn't ring a bell. Then again, I don't really pay attention to the newbies.

if controllers wanted to bring their husbands or wives or someone they know into any facility how much pull do they have in getting them in? just curious.

lol....last i heard from him he was working islip sector? that was a couple of months ago, hes been just head down into his training, i rarely get to talk to him lately.

little to none, unless they're already controllers and a hardship or something like that is justifiable. Other than that, controllers have virtually no clout.

Of course if you're the golfing buddy of the ATM or district manager, now that's a different story.
