If it weren't for that, I doubt they could justify having a tower there at all. It has a little rush period in the morning and afternoon, but its overall traffic levels are below that of many of the uncontrolled fields closer to Atlanta.

I think they're gonna try to send me to DFW TRACON. Anyone got something to say about it?

CSG is a 4. The airline service and proximity to the military base is a good reason it is still FAA. Another reason is that there isn't enough revenue for a FCT company to be interested in it.

So you're going to DFW Approach, all I can say is "Good Luck"! Statistics are showing that people off the street and CTI's have a high washout rate at the larger busy facilities.

Heading to Anchorage Center (ZAN) myself. I haven't seen anything concerning how busy it is or the washout rates, so I'll take that as good news.

I've considered asking for JNU (Juneau Alaska) in hopes of landing an earlier class date (currently its OKC in 2010 for me) however JNU is only a level 5 facility. Would make for an easy start tho...

D10 is the facility I hope to get. I visited it and also DFW approach and was sitting with couple people for about 6 hours total. It wasn't busy at all, everything was very chill. Of course I realize that it must have been a "good" day, but I was totally impressed by how helpful people are there. All my questions, even the dumbest ones, were answered without batting an eye.
