Re: Aircraft Indentification Book
Posted: 07-04-2009, 07:11 PM If you are going to a Tower, knowing your aircraft types by sight is extremely important, you don't want to be the trainee that keys up and says, "Delta 873 Heavy which airplane are you?" to have the pilot respond "We are the Big One". You will have the other controllers rolling on the floor laughing at you.
If you are going to a Center or Approach Control, know your aircraft types is also important but you will have to know what a Bonanza, King Air, Cherokee, Cessna, etc. are by their aircraft ID's. All the weight classifactions will come to your with experience as will the various performance criteria's |
