How many more incidents in two days can we have?
Posted: 11-20-2009, 05:10 PM In two days we had a Mooney do three touch in go's on the same runway and bend his prop. Delta run off the runway and Allegiant have an engine blow up after take off. No major injuries either... What will happen next...

Posted: 11-22-2009, 10:01 AM Kinda on this topic, I think I set an FAA record from time of certification to first aircraft accident.
I got certified, took a break, came back up and got on position. Within 5 minutes, talking to my very first plane, the nose gear collapsed and the aircraft slid down the runway and stopped at the intersection of both runways, closing the airport for a couple of hours. |

Re: How many more incidents in two days can we have?
Posted: 11-23-2009, 10:18 AM Yeah, it was done and sat in the dump for about a month...two years later a C141 ended up in there after a wind shear incident as well.
The toughest part was that it took crash crew about 10 minutes to extract the pilot because he wouldn't let go of the cockpit handrails. |
