H.R.3288 Apprropriations Bill
Posted: 12-12-2009, 10:52 AM

This bill is about to pass the senate and it looks like it will provide valuable funding to the FAA. Hopefully this additional funding will provide the resources needed to get the hiring/academy process rolling again.

This is a tough one for me as I am a very fiscally conservative person. It's a $1.1T bill.

Any thoughts? Not political, but chances of the process advancing again. Well, I guess political would be okay too, but don't get carried away so this thing gets sent to the crapper.

Well, the bill passed. It will provide additional funding to the FAA for this FY. Hopefully that will get the ball rolling again.

It is not just money - there is a limit to the number of developments (new hires) that facilities can absorb. Not saying that all are maxed out - but many have.

It does fund the 2% government employee pay raise for 2010.
