Security clearance transfer?

I currently work in the aviation industry and already have a DOD security clearance. Will it transfer over to the DOT? Or will I have to go through the Whole process again?

Common sense would say you don't have to go through it again, but this is the govt..... they will prolly spend the money for another one.

If you DOD clearance was accomplished by OPM then you should be fine. I brought a JPAS printout for proof of my SCI clearance to the PEPC. They did not even need that, they were able to search my SSN on a database and verified it there. Good Luck
