So it appears that our AT-SAT score and geoprefs are the two deciding factors on who get's hired. To quote an FAA rep who shall remain as nameless as possible:

Networking helps you more after you are selected, meaning if you end up at a facility where you have a relationship going in, your transition will be a bit easier.
As far as the selection process, all are to be on a level field for the selecting official. They are looking at applications electronically.

Wonder what they see electronically ....

Is there anyway to get an update on this Thread to what Panels really do see now a days??? I hate looking at that picture on page one. It makes me depressed seeing the good ol days of selecting.....This sucks

Well I'm just asking because it seems to be different from reading what everyone is saying. The panel probably doesn't see any comments, because there is no comments section on the application. Also, they are not doing a Term/Enroute pref anymore?

I'm just kinda wondering where you found that original document, and if there was a way to see if it has changed and updated?
