Oh, for God's sake, that's outrageous. If I make it to the interview and they tell me I'm in the back of the line because a guy whose race my race oppressed in what will be almost 6 decades ago has preference on that basis, I'd look them straight in the face and burst out laughing. I didn't do jack squat to anyone.

Radium sums it up best.
Hate to burst your bubble, but the federal government adjusts their hiring to reflect equality in the workplace. Nowadays though you just don't see it nor hear about it. Everyone will get the call eventually, but you wont know if you took the back seat during selection process. It isn't anything to be bitter about.

I know they do. Doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

It is the government, of course women get preferrential treatment. Don't get pissy with me either, I am just saying what most already know. Just look at police and firefighters. Unless you are lacking an apendage or of a minority group, you getting one of the firefighting spots is like winning the lottery. Fact.

Last I checked I'm not nor have I ever treated someone different because the color of their skin or what's between their legs. I don't owe anyone any free air. Anyone who thinks they deserve a free ride to the front of the line because of either is dillusional IMO.

Flame suit on...bring it.

She could get a entirely female training team. Few at my facility.
