4 year school pulls rank over 2 year school?

Hey everyone,

I have a question. I was just catching up on some of the recent discussions on here seeing as I myself, have been busy with getting ready to move to Colorado to go to school to become an ATC, and have not really been able to visit the forums much.

What is the deal on the 4 year school grads pulling rank over the 2 year school grads? I heard the 4 year ones are being selected before the 2 year ones. Is this a rumor? what's the deal? I'm sure it's just a rumor and some people that went to school for the 4 years just happened to be selected before some others that went the 2 year route.

also, is there any new, news on the preference of where you are located? I know before you picked 2 states that you would like to be located, but they were going to test out people selecting just one region...so any new, news on that front? thanks.

Nothing is set in stone yet. Everything you've heard is rumors and has not been put into effect yet. So people getting picked up in the past had nothing to do with 4 year or 2 year. There's a huuuuuuuge publication on the new rules and process but is only rumored to be starting this fall. My guess is it will be implemented soon so depending on your age etc, I would sugges going to the school that is going to have the highest points, ie. four year degrees etc.

I'm 23. I'm not going to go to a school for 4 years for this degree. How high does the point scale go? and how do you know how high your school ranks?

Listen to radium. They were talking about this stuff three years ago when i was starting cti. If i had gone the four year route, i'd still be in school. Instead, i already have my tol, cleared to work and just comfortably waiting on a class date.
