Ethnicity/Race retardedness
Posted: 07-03-2012, 08:32 PM First and foremost before anyone says anything I just want to put it out there at I still think if FREAKING RETARDED that they even have those stupid questionaires. We're all american, it shouldn't matter on a job application what my/your origins are. now that i'm I'm done with the soap box presentation...I would like to ask, DOES it actually hurt you or help you to fill out that information when you apply. I say this because as you can see from the user name i'm half filipino and half dominican. I speak only english, I was raised in the south and not the miami south either. I just don't want to put it on there and someone thinks I can't speak clearly or something weird like that haha but seriously I know everyone who sees this will be from all origins including hispanic and asian, so lets be real guys, does this even make a difference? should I leave it blank? hope this doesn't offend anyone I'm just curious.

Haha domini....I agree with you that is retarded, but relax I wrote down my ethnicity and I am bilingual, In the end Its not what you are at work "ethnicity/Background" that will get you to CPC, Its how you do your damn job! I was raised in the south (Northern Palm Beach county, FL), and if bugs you that much Just prove that you can speak the English language fluently in your NETWORKING PROCESS. |

Re: Ethnicity/Race retardedness
Posted: 07-05-2012, 09:25 PM alright so I am also half Filipino. My mom was born and raised in the Philippines and then got her U.S. citizenship. It was almost unbelievable to me the amount and the type of questions that the background investigator asked me about my mother being Filipino. So regardless it will end up coming out so you might as well be straight forward right off the bat.
