Forget the washout rate

A lot of people seem really concerned about "washout rates." Thats a bad idea. You're going to sike yourself out before you even start. If you're so concerned that you are attempting to find the "easiest" place to work, you probably need to do something else.

Don't bite off more than you can chew. Go to a lower facility at first to get the hang of things. You can always transfer to a more challenging place.

I love the new hires who are bragging about going to a level 12 as their first facility. They are about to get their feelings hurt real quick, haha.

Level 12 towers are usually a breeze...ground is a little hairy...clearance can be a bear in bad weather....I'm at a level 8 tower only, we have a new hire...working his way through clearance now...I can't wait till he gets on local...his feelings will be hurt bad for a while...but then again, that's all we do in the tower, just make fun of each other...I wish we were above that, but we're not.

that is half the training. The rated will always give the non-rated crap, no matter what. Then when they are certified they can pass it along, lol. Its all part of the process. More in good fun than true hazing.

Worry about passing, not washing out.
