Go here: www.federalsoup.org. I think there is something in your past that they are looking closely at before they issue your clearance. Not that you are being dishonest to them, but I've never seen you give particulars of your situation (nor do I read every post here, so maybe you have), its just that there is more than likely something pretty major in your past to why it is taking so long. That, or they are holding on to it to see if you mess up again. Any way, go to the security section of that website. They will give you a clear idea as to why your clearance is still under investigation. There was someone one who was VRA on jet careers whose clearance took 18 months. Lord knows what he was up/in to.

Guess what, just called DC and Chicago. Dr.s in DC are snowed out. I called DC and no one picks up. One of the Dr.s that finalizes things is on vacation until the 19th. Not expecting to hear anything until March

Priority should come to those who were seen first.

I actually spent a bunch of time on there a few months ago. I haven't discussed all of the more colorful aspects of my past on here but suffice to say my eqip was 60something pages long and in October I got to fax over a 6 page statement that I wrote explaining a few things.

The investigative portion of my clearance is done. I'm fairly confident in that fact. I've been told by my POC in FAA security that the results of her investigation have been set over to HR in OKC for review and that is the final step in me getting my clearance. I have also been told by my HR rep that my security packet is there waiting to be reviewed by the HR director.

From my chair it looks like the question is, how big of a stack is my file in that after 3 months they still haven't reviewed it?

Haha, I had a crazy dream last night that I met President Obama at a High School band performance. He was completely by himself and even played the guitar. Nobody even paid him much attention.
I however, went and talked to him and told him he was my boss-to-be because I was trying to get hired by the FAA; but, they were taking forever. He made a few calls and wha-la. I was off to OKC...

Wow, this process is really getting to be too much!....

Bahaha nice pic, not quite on the numbers. If there were strings to pull on this deal I would be making a ball of yarn already. Things seem grim, I'm trying to stay positive!!...
