ATC Background Questions

Does anyone know how the people you list the "where you lived" section of the background check are contacted? Is it a questionnaire they receive or just a phone call to verify that you have lived at a certain address.

I thought I remember reading that they will attempt to contact everyone you list as a contact. They don't expect to get a reply from everyone, so they send it out to everyone you have listed, and from that group they expect enough to replies to get an idea about you.

From what I know all they send out is questionnaires

I got one a couple of years ago for a friend of mine at cleveland center. It's a scantron with just a couple of questions on it.

yeah, I got a questionnaire by mail for one of my friends who applied. Basically asked "would you hire this person" type questions.

They send out a questionaire to everyone on your list. My buddy got 5 cuz that's how many times I listed him lol.

So you don't have to put a different person for each one? For example, I have a lot of different residences, since you have to list all of the college residences out...can I put the same person on two different addresses for the person who knew you question?

From what I remember, you aren't supposed to use the same reference for different sections (for instance, your personal reference can't also be a housing reference...), but you can definitely use the same person more than once for the housing references. I've lived 12 places in the last 10 years, so I had to repeat some people and it wasn't an issue.

When in the process do these references come up? I have been selected but do not remember adding htese references.

I didn't have addresses for everyone, so only the references that I gave addresses for were contacted. Also my current and previous employers were contacted with a similar form.
