Didn't go to Vaughn. I did graduate CTI 13 months ago, got a TOL last July, now have a tentative class date in May. It depends on many things. Yes you have a WQ score, but there are many people that have a WQ score. CTI can definately help, but you have to remember there are thousands of people who have applied for this career. Just try not to get yourself all worried about getting in or not. If you really want it and give it time there is a good chance you'll get your shot.

Also, as far as I know doesn't matter where you went for CTI. Just that you finished one of the programs at one of the schools.

^^^That is correct. They only see your score(Q or WQ) and that you were a CTI grad.^^^

I didn't go to Vaughn...I'm still working on my high school diploma lol
I have never heard of a CTI grad that scored WQ, was healthy, sane, had a good background and didn't get hired. I read somewhere that only 3 of every 4 CTI grads end up getting hired, but the 1 in 4 that don't get DQ'd bc of MMPI, medical, security, etc...

Just wanted to point out that CTI graduation at least guarantees you to be selected before the THOUSANDS of OTS applicants, no matter what. Other than that, are there *thousands* of people applying between VRA, Re-Inst, and CTI every year? I don't know, but I know that Vaughn College said that they churn out about 30 graduates per year from their CTI program, which isn't a ton. If it's similar #'s at the other 30 CTI schools, then 30x31 = 930. I'm not so sure that every school has that many CTI grads every year, though. Especially since Vaughn is 1 of the few with a 1-year Fast Track program.

It's definitely a risk, but I'm going through it too. I don't know if it's better to try and finish up quickly, like in the summer, or to wait for the fall semester and hold off the loans for another 6 months. I'd like to get my name on the list of CTI folks sooner rather than later, but I don't know how many people that will get us ahead of between August and January.

Don't believe this statement is correct - depending on the referral lists - OTS candidates may have picked the "right" states for that panel and compose the selection "pool".

So am i understand this correct that it doesnt matter if you get an 85.1 versus getting a 100...they all see it the same as a WQ? if so then whats the point of even issuing a score? just say your Q or WQ?

I'm in pretty much the same boat as the OP. All things considered, I think it's worth the risk and I plan on attending Vaughn. Good luck.

That is correct. Why they issue a score instead of a Q or WQ idk...same goes for CTI. They don't know where you went, so all the riddle grads that are 100k in debt are considered the same as someone who paid 15k to do Vaughn online.

Well i think thats crazy to be honest...let me just start by saying that anyone who passes the ATSAT should be proud bc it is a difficult test, and even more congrats to someone who passes it with an 85 or higher. I just think that two "scores" to cover a 30 point spread is ridiculous. It takes all the pride out of stiriving to do ur best and scoring the highest you can. if a person got a 95, i think its completely fair to say that they did better then someone with 85 and in the large group of OTS with WQ scores, they should be considered first and not the same. its like saying a final score in a basketball game of 100 to 85 is a tie...just doesnt make sense. not a gripe with anyone on here, as im sure no one here is responsible for the scoring of the test and what the FAA does with it. just a little frustration in a very difficult and long job process.

ATSAT is a screening tool - NOT a selection tool. Think of it as one of the basic requirements, like experience or education, that is required to enter the next phase of applicant screening.
