Walnut Gardens is one of the fastest growing FAA approved housing providers in the country. We provide student housing, temporary housing and corporate housing; offering serene temporary and long term accommodations for the most productive and comfortable extended stay for those affiliated with the FAA.

Description of Housing

Since we cater to FAA students and employees, all of our apartments (efficiencies, one and two bed suites) are beautifully furnished with the FAA individuals needs in mind!

Each apartment comes with free DSL lines and 71 cable channels, hotel-quality linens and towels, televisions in both the living room and the bedroom (some with wall-mounted plasma TVs), two telephones with free local calls, individual washer and dryers (in one and two bed suites) fully equipped kitchens including microwave, coffee pot, blender and toaster, personal patios/balconies and enclosed breezeway entrances to your apartment.

Covered parking is also available to protect your vehicle from the sun or snow during your stay. Security fencing with a personal coded gate provide student housing, temporary housing or corporate housing individuals with peace of mind as property access is limited to residents and their guests. Walnut Gardens has a value plan for all of your housing needs.

I've been a member for a while, and I feel like people only write reviews when they love or hate the places. This one falls in the love category.

Walnut Gardens is far superior than any of the other places I've seen or stayed and I just wanted to recommend it to all of you

Just a few of the best features
1) extra large, very clean rooms with furniture that's nicely kept up, and the facility is charming
2) it's so close to the academy- we're talking like 10 minutes, I've stayed elsewhere and it's such a waste of time
3) the happy hours are nice, they really try to show some OK hospitality, I really enjoy them
4) Free washer/dryers
5) they're always having great specials, even though they are a good value already
6) really nice and helpful staff, they bend over backwards for you
7) Great cars on the premises
8) just a great environment to be around, it's all FAA people, really a sense of community

I enjoyed my stay at Walnut Gardens while I was a student. The apartment staff was very friendly and offered assistance whenever needed. The apartment was clean and well maintained and the facilities and general atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Free Washers and Dryers were a big plus for me and I appreciated the fact that all residents were FAA students.

I recommend Walnut Gardens strongly. It a great place to stay that is convienent as well as a great value. I would definitely stay there again.

Best home away from home accommodations, I have been coming to OKC for 20 years and have tried a lot of places, but this is by far the best. First Class Staff, always clean, washer and dryer in room, completely furnished kitchen, Free Broad Band Internet, and close to the academy with bus service to the academy, also has free transportation to and from the Airport. 100% satisfaction.

I am staying at Walnut Gardens. It is a great place to stay. It is all FAA students and there are a lot of us here. I am doing the $33 small efficiency per day package so I am saving a lot of money on per diem and also the food allowance...they do happy hours and provide food on certain days of the week. It is good having all the other FAA students here as well. Walnut Gardens is also one of the closer places to the academy.

Walnut Gardens is a good place to stay, if you want a place that is close to the academy and has lots of students there, I would recommend this place!

Walnut Gardens was exactly what I was looking for...something cheap and close to the school. It's not a resort but it's a place to sleep for 6 weeks or so.

I have no comlaints about walnut gardens. If you get a studio for 25 dollars a day it's absolutely one of the best priced places in OKC with what you get. I stayed in a 1 bedroom efficiency where I had a living room, full kitchen, dining room, full bath, and a nice sized bedroom with plenty of closet space.

They say they have plasma TVs but my apartment had two regular televisions, one in the living room about 25" and one in the bedroom about 19". You get basic channels that include TNT, Comedy Central, FX, ESPN, and AMC. You do not get HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, etc....

Everything is extremely clean and taken care of. I've been here 2 1/2 weeks and used the cleaning service twice. Both times I came home to the dishes done, bed made, floors/tables/counters clean, new towels, and the toilet immaculate.

There isn't anything in walking distance so if you don't have a car it might get a little boring. DSL in every room; however, I had a lot of problems streaming movies off of Netflix. Rental cars available on the premises for roughly 20 dollars a day.

Most everything here is as I expected it. The location is one of the closest to the MMAC and that's a plus.

The price isn't very competitive to Kim's Place or Isola Bella, I'd stay at either one of those next time. Kim's is marginally more expensive but that includes food.

It's quiet.

It was clean.

Ah the amenities...the internet is almost enough to make me switch right now...its stone age. I can't even download updates for my Mac because their DSL thinks I'm trying to stream. Its very, very frustrating. The internet stops working even when I break out the coffee table book on "Streams of South America"...

Upgrade the internet and I'd come back. Because its on the bus route, I gave it a 2.

*UPDATE 1/12/11* Hey Walnut, its 2011, get with the program...BETTER INTERNET!! I can't even install updates for my computer because of your stupid streaming lock.
