This is a great place to stay if you have dogs. They have a few big lawns and are fenced in. The apartment itself is needs to be updated. The living area is probably from the 70's, well that's what the furniture looks like. They also have free food every wednesday. Like I said, great place if you have pets, otherwise there are better and more updated places to stay.

I have been at Meridian Mansions now for about two months and think that it is a great place to live. The management has been extremely nice and helpful since I have been here and they have been constantly making improvments on the property since I have been here. It is one of the most moderatly priced places on the FAA housing list and is better than all of the other places on the list that I have seen. They offer many things here to that not many other places offer such as free movie rentals, car rentals for fifteen dollars a day and if you just need to run to the store or something they will just let you borrow it for an hour, they have a free weekly meal which is hands down better than the meals that any of the other places on the list offer, there is a really nice pool that they just remodeled, and it is really quiet here you can't hear anything through the walls. Also it is the closest place to the academy on the list that I know about. I would Highly reccomend moving here if you are going to come attend the academy.

The New Meridian Mansion is a Great place to stay as a single female the new management has made many changes to the property; Niko as added new lights around the property plus the new pools is great for tanning. Now with free DVD player and movies, a new fitness center a second laundry room now all he needs is a tanning bed or a pool table and this would be home. Nick the assistance manager is a great cook his Wednesday night dinner are the best they take great pride in making sure all the FAA students are happy if I need it anything just ask they will try to make it happen. I did not bring a car down with me the staff pick me up at the airport and loan me a car to run and pick up what I forgot to bring. This is my second time here with the new staff I will be back. Had an overall great experience staying here during my month and a half stay. The Apartment was comfortable, but pretty dated as far as furnishings are concerned. Nothing a single dude can't handle. The customer service from Neko and his staff was superb; they more than accommodated my needs as far as using a loaner car if needed. The neighborhood is a bit shady but I still felt safe and secure at the apartments. It is in a good general OKC location in proximity to many of the local attractions and things to do, plus the shortest ride to the academy on the academy bus route. The little gym is just that, no free weights or benches, just a Bowflex, treadmills, and cycles. Stay here if you are low maintenance and want to pocket some extra per diem. I'd come back!

Stayed at Meridian Last March for 3 months and I tell you what.... I was not satisfied what so ever. From the moment that I walked into the apartments, I thought "Holy Crap". You could tell that that this place was old and rundown. the paint inside the apartment was old and pealing in several spots, you could tell there had been mold in the walls becuase of the paint job and parts of the walls in the bathroom looked mushy near the floor. Also, they had evidently repainted the kitchen before i had got there.... but they didnt take any of the dishes or cookware out when they did and everything was covered in paint dust. They just told me wash them several times in the dishwasher. Three hours later from scrubbing everything in the kitchen, i could finally use it.
Several times I was given the oppertunity to use their so called courtesy cars. For some reason they always seemed available. I think that is becuase no one wanted to drive them. everytime i got one, there was problems with the brakes, flat tires, engine lights comming on, lound mechanical sounds from the steering or suspension..... all of them were falling apart and unsafe.
Also, the Aircondiitoning hardly ever worked, the pool didnt open until end of may after it had been in the 80-90's for weeks, the fencing was falling apart all over the place, and several other things to boot.

I only lived here because of lack of availability. As soon as I could, I moved out....Find roomates and stay somewhere nicer.
