CPC pay for combined facilities?
Posted: 04-05-2011, 09:11 PM

Just wondering how the CPC pay works for combined (tower/tracon) facilities for a developmental.

- Once rated in the tower, would you receive CPC pay for the hours you work in the tower?

- Or, would you have to get rated in both the tower and radar before receiving CPC pay?

Thanks.

You ll reveive D2 pay when you check out in the tower. Once complete with the tracon, you ll get CPC pay.

It all depends on what facility you go to. They all work it different.

You are not a CPC until you are fully certified on all positions. You will be a CPC-IT.

You will start as and AG (Academy Grad) at your facility. Then step up from there to D1, D2, D3, CPC.

D1 pay will probably be when you get Clearance Delivery or something
D2 rated in the Tower
D3 first Radar Sector
CPC fully certified.

Again it depends on the facility as to what is included in each step. I am center anyway but I am just going on what I remember from friends at Tower facilities. Center goes like this generally...

D1 first two D side sectors
D2 fully certified D side
D3 first two R side sectors
CPC fully certified.

You will not be a CPC-IT unless you were previously fully certified at another facility.
