Command Center

Does anyone know what is it like to work there? Surrounding living area? Staffing? Do they work mandatory overtime, shift work, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

they dont do a thing there, but they'll tell you they're important. its located off rt. 28 beside IAD and the new one is being built next to PCT out in warrenton, va.

thanks. How often do you see controllers getting picked to go into TMU? Or do they like to just pick those already with TMU experience?

How about work environment? Staffing? Schedules? Would it be easier to get a release for this place just because its the Command Center if you're coming from a hard to staff facility?

you would most likely need to have TMU time at your current facility. everyone i know who have bid the command center without TMU experience have not gotten the job.

i dont know how getting a release from a hard to staff facility to go there would be. i just know the command center is a country club where people go to coast at the end of their career. its hard to get in there.
